Sports Results for 2015/16

Football Matches

October 2015

Commiserations to the boys team who lost their first leauge game to St Bernadettes on Tuesday 13th October. You all played extremley well and it was a great game against a strong team.

A huge well done to the girls football team who finished 4th in the 7 a side city tournament on 2nd October.

19th October - The girls Football teams finished 3rd and 5th (foxes and badgers respectively) Superb progress as the tournament went on and fantastic sportsmanship.

21st October - The boys Football teams finished 1st and 5th (foxes and badgers respectively) Great effort from all the boys!!! Superb teamwork and the Foxes team won all their games and didn't let a goal in!!

 

November 2015

Huge congratulations to our superb football team who won 11-1 against City Academy Whitehawk.

This is a fantastic result; you should all be very pleased with yourselves.

Athletics 2016

The Woodingdean Athletics team were runners up in the cluster event held at Longhill Leisure Centre on Tuesday 19th January.

You all showed fantastic running, jumping and throwing skills and were amazing in the relays. Such great determination was shown even under pressure and you should all be extremely proud of yourselves.

 Well done!!

Netball Matches

On Tues 17th Nov Woodingdean Foxes and Woodingdean Badgers played in a local cluster High 5 Netball event at Longhill High School. All the children played their best and performed really well. The Foxes team played 5 games and won all 5, winning the tournament!!

Hockey

Congratulations to Woodingdean Hockey Team..!

 

They won their cluster event and then represented the school in the Brighton and Hove city Finals (Weds 22nd April). They scored in every game and played in total for 84 minutes in 7 gruelling matches!!

 

They finished 5th in the city and were awarded the RESPECT award for their outstanding sporting behaviour!
